Listed below are the necessary requirements for installing the Polycom ViaVideo II system.

Operating System Compatibility
- Windows 2000 Professional
- Windows XP Home and Professional

For Windows 2000 and Windows XP
- USB Port
- 400 MHz processor, Pentium II compatible with MMX
- 16 MB video memory
- 128 MB RAM
- 250 MB available hard disk space (might be considerably less if required supporting software is already installed)
- 16-bit color or higher
- SVGA monitor (800 x 600 pixels)
- Laptop PC with headphones, headset or internal speakers
- Desktop PC with headphones, headset or external speakers
- Headset with microphone must have a single audio connection like those used with cellular phones
- IP network access (64 Kbps and above): cable, DSL, or LAN
- Microsoft® Internet Explorer Version 6.0 or later
- Windows Media® Player Version 7.1 or later
- Microsoft DirectX® Software Version 8.1 or later
- Microsoft NetMeeting® Version 3.01 or later

Integrated Audio via USB (Half-Duplex)
- Audio cable is optional when running Windows 2000 or Windows XP
