What is hands-on training?
a)
Everyone learns differently. Some people learn by seeing,
others by hearing and still others by doing. TKO's training
is different
than most because it combines instructor lead presentations,
visual aids including diagrams, reports and sketches along
with hand-on exercises in which students engage physically
with equipment,
software
and reporting systems.
b)
Our hands-on laboratory exercises allow students to configure,
program, rearrange and connect physical cabling. Students
also perform system setup and circuit card re-locations.
Each exercise is designed to offer real life experiences
that students can take back home and put to use immediately.
2.
Are TKO's training courses linked to one another?
a)
Yes. All of TKO's training courses are modular and linked
so a student can start with fundamentals and quickly proceed
through to intermediate and advanced training.
b)
We recognize that it is hard to be away from a job to
take a training class, especially if the training lasts
several days. That's why all of TKO's training classes
are modules built into a series. A student can take all
the class modules in a training series in just 4 ½
days.
3.
What
is a training series?
a)
Each telecommunications training series consists of 4
classes or modules. The first module of the series begins
at noon on Monday and the last ends on Friday afternoon.
In less than one week a student can take an entire training
series.
b)
Every series includes the following topics:
- How
to price and buy the technology
- How
the technology actually works
- In-depth
analysis of the technology
- Troubleshooting
the technology
4.
Can I take just one class?
Yes,
any of the modules or individual classes can be taken separately.
5.
How many students are in a typical class?
Typically
4 - 8 students and never more than 10 per class unless by
special request.
